TEMPORARY LOCAL RULE (UPDATE 20/04/2024)
TREE STUMPS (Immovable Obstructions)
Tree stumps in the general area, marked with a white paint stripe, are to be considered “Immovable Obstructions” under this temporary Local Rule.
Relief for Ball in General Area:
If a player’s ball is in the general area and there is interference by a tree stump, the player may take relief by dropping their ball in the prescribed relief area (see Rule 16.1a)
Reference point:
- The nearest point of complete relief is the general area.
Size of relief area measured from the reference point:
- One club length, but with the following limits.
Limits on the location of relief area:
- It must be in the general area,
- Must not be nearer the hole than the reference point, and
- There must be complete relief from the tree stump.
