TEMPORARY LOCAL RULE Updated 03/05

NO PLAY ZONE – ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITION – 7th & 8th HOLE MOUNDING/EARTHWORKS

The areas defined by green stakes on the left side of the 7th hole and the left side of the 8th hole are a NO PLAY ZONE.

When a ball lies within the green stakes the ball must not be played as it lies, and relief must be taken without penalty in the applicable drop zone as per rule 16.1f., an

The drop zones are defined by blue stakes located near the 7th & 8th fairway and in the right rough of the 13th hole.

Whilst playing the 8th hole the drop zone near the 8th fairway must be used to take relief under this rule, and whilst playing the 13th hole, the drop zone in the right rough of the 13th hole must be used to take relief.

Any ball lying within the green stakes on the 7th hole must be played from the drop zone located on the 7th hole.

Relief from no play zone.

Reference Point:

The relief area for the hole being played.

Size of Relief Area Measured from Reference Point:

Relief must be taken within the area defined by the four white marker posts, but with these limits:

Limits on Location of Relief Area:

  • Must be in the general area,
  • Must not be nearer the hole than the reference point, and
  • There must be complete relief from all interference by the abnormal ground condition.
